3-4:30pm — Auditorium
Journey Within: A Musical Story of Healing
Journey Within alongside Brandyn Gallagher (they/them) as they bring light to a story of mental health struggle, reckoning with social injustices, and learning to cultivate peace amidst the chaos. This is Medicine for collective and personal healing.
Journey Within zooms in on the least-visible moment of Brandyn's past 10 years since medical transition: a year spent fully mute while experiencing what Western Medicine describes as clinical psychosis. The story is largely told through relevant music from that time period.
You are invited to be present with yourself in the stillness and listen to your heart, as Brandyn demonstrates one brief glimpse of a path forward out of chaos, during which they learned to do the same.
Content Warning: This art performance includes mentions of suicide, God, race and racism, and other topics that generally might cause some discomfort.
4-4:30pm — Room 226
